The greater world of Youtube

Post by hobbes on Mon Sep 17, 2012 12:24 am

What are your favorite Youtube videos outside of the realms that Lindsey and Devin have carved out? Here's one many of you may already be familiar with, but which I keep going back to again and again:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6LvQaaSqNg&feature=plcp

A bird's-eye view of the beautiful German countryside, and even the sound track is good. But, who is that crazy guy who keep showing up in the red coat?

my favorite video because of the main topic "sc2", "Liquid.Ret" and competing against other progamers" is TempO - Drone so hard:

I like them all. Well, Bladewing, your link seems to only take me to a website selling computer headphones...

@Pierre: How did you come across your video about the blind girl? When I first viewed it, it only had had about 50 views.

@Bladewing (or anyone who speaks German): Could you tell me what Crazy Horst is saying, in the video I posted, when he holds up his remote controller after falling into the creek? I presume it is something about ruining the electronics, but I'm curious if I'm issing something there.

Thanks.

Re: The greater world of Youtube

Post by Bladewing on Wed Sep 19, 2012 12:54 am

Yeah, I would tell you. No I can watch your videos again. They were blocked by IP filters, because GEMA(an organization of artists) demands money from youtube for all videos including the music of their members. So I have to use Proxytube to watch those videos.

Next thing: I´m really sorry, looks like I didn´t check my last post. The link I posted was for a friend of mine, who is interested in buying a new headset(because his Tritton AX720 "isn´t good enough"?! I think he crashed it simply and won´t tell me because he got it as a birthday present just 2 weeks ago...)

This is the video I really wanted to post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8jwm9jl3ko

If I would have to choose an other video I would either choose the documentation "Liquid Rising"(about the eSports-team Team Liquid based in Korea, with their own house. So all players could train together, even their german member Dario TLO Wünsch, who is originally from Leipzig - where I now live for three years and already met his brother here) or any amazing video from devinsupertramp-channel - or of course Lindsey´s music videos, but you asked for a non-Lindsey-related video, so I chose "Drone so hard".

hobbes: I actually watched all videos(only the automatic mario I didn´t finish yet, because it takes too long...) but I never saw Crazy Horst in any video. And I also didn´t find any Crazy Horst in other youtube-videos yet.

Once of my favorite is this one, perhaps because I'm a juggler...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLbiYQoN3zA
(I've seen most of these guys in shows)
And so, we decided last year to do our video, even we aren't pro :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZYy0-UBsFY
(as you can see, there is an unicyclist in the video, which curiously has enjoyed the last video of Devin ...)

Yoann: I like the one who handles the (don´t know if there´s a special word in french langauge) diabolo(green object with sandclock style shape moved by two sticks, which are linked by a thin cord).

Nino is one of our best students to the circus school, I like what he does, but we have not all shown in the video...

Oh, I knew you couldn´t have shown, all his tricks. Diabolo is one of the thinks you can do the most tricks with, I guess...

The guys of your first video are amazing. I´d like to have the same skill but I know, they trained for years to get who they are now.

The only thing I've ever done with a diabolo is killing a duck!
I can't even juggle with two balls: p

Even juggling with two balls would be a problem for me... I always throw the balls to high, to low, to fast or wrong in any other way.

Not sure about videos but one of the most underrated original songs is Eppic and Jess Moskaluke "Storm Before the Calm".
Just awesome and it has about 300,000 views and they have not a ton of subscribers which makes no sense to me.
Jess and Olivia Noelle are 2 of the best female singers I seen on youtube.

I like the video, too.

Just by the way: the german city Dresden, where one scene was recorded, is just about one hour away from Leipzig, where I live.

This video is also great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNVd5LxxNmQ&list=FLRYkX9Jt-04ASIXf8IomL7w&index=7&feature=plpp_video

I think this couple is very innovative. I like this dress changing trick ^^
