Time to get these forums moving!

So, did anyone else almost burst into tears reading the book that came with their album? Seriously...that's some pretty inspirational stuff. The Transcendence passage especially touched my heart. Just read it again, and had to fight back another tear.

I realize I'm but a new Stirlingite, and I've only known about Lindsey for a week and a half now....but I can honestly say she's had more of an influence in my life than anyone else. In the past week and a half, I've smiled more than the past 10 years of my life combined. I don't wake up in the morning and think "ugh...another day". Instead, I can't wait to get my day started and learn to love life more and more every day while listening to Lindsey's music. I'm not going to lie - There's been several times in my life when I thought it might be better off if I wasn't around. I truly felt that I didn't belong here, as I feel like such an outcast from everyone I know. Then I saw some of Lindsey's videos. While I love her music, it was the behind the scenes stuff that really made me believe it was okay to be different, to be myself. That I should love me for who I am, not what the people around me believe I should be. There's just....

*loses train of thought as "Electric Daisy Violin" starts playing in the background and starts dancing around*

Sorry, back to what I was saying. There's just something...magical about Lindsey and her personality, even if you ignore her astounding musical talent. In the short time I've known of her, I've been so stress free and spent so much time dancing around that I've actually lost enough weight to fit into pants I haven't worn in 5 years. I actually left my house for something other than work/getting groceries yesterday and went to a local college concert. Tonight, I'm going to my sister's basketball game. And tomorrow night as well. Not only am I feeling thousands of times better about myself thanks to Lindsey and this community, but I'm being a better person, a better brother, a better son.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, as most of you have known about her and been inspired by her for far longer than I have. Didn't mean to get so serious there, but I felt the need to express my gratitude to Lindsey, and you guys as a community, for having such a huge impact on my life already. So Thank You, each and every one of you!

Sir I couldn't agree more with you! I've been a Stirlingite only a short time, but I've been a fan of her music and everything for a long time. I've had the same thoughts from time to time, in fact recently as well. But I just remember seeing her live in concert, hearing her words of encouragement, reading the book in the CD case, and much more! Her music brings so much joy into my life and others lives as well! I'm glad you shared this because I'm right there with you! She's such an inspiring person! Keep on living life my friend! No matter how hard things get, life is worth living one way or another! Wink

Words of Inspiration Empty Re: Words of Inspiration

As I said the other day, I could be in the middle of getting mugged, hear Electric Daisy Violin come on, and I'd start smiling.

Plus now I have this amazing wristband that I can simply look down at and it instantly puts a smile on my face. It's a little tight, but give it another month or so and I have a feeling my wrist will get a little smaller. I truly feel like my head is finally clean and clear, so its time to start working on my body. I've only got a six-pack of Pepsi left, so I'm trying to ease off of the caffeine. I'm not religious, but I find that all religions have something great to offer to daily life. Thanks to Kat for pointing me in the right direction to learn more about the Mormon faith. While I don't agree with all their beliefs, I understand and like many of the beliefs they hold, such as taking care of one's body (or temple). I've cut caffeine out of my life many times before, but I feel like this time is the end. I've got some great motivation to help inspire me. I may not believe that there is a God, but if he does exist, he's sent me something else to inspire me in his place.

Thanks for the words of encouragement JimmyLove76. This is a new chapter in my life, and I hope everyone here will be a large part of it.

How long is the book/ I'll be getting the album soon...but I'm curious. I already found her to be quite the good writer.

It's only 3-4 pages long, but its enough Smile Thinking off the top of my head, I believe she writes a couple paragraphs about Spontaneous Me, Transcendance, Crystallize, and Song of the Caged Bird.

Still, they're very well written and moving Smile
