What Child is This? Empty What Child is This?

Beautiful arrangement, but one might also ask: What violin is this? It's not Ingrid, certainly not Excalibur, is nice and shiny, has tuners on all four strings, is missing a pickup, and has a bridge that is placed too far forward and angled precariously forward to boot. (Ahh! I cringe at that bridge placement!)

Yeah, I know the audio track is overlayed, and was probably produced on Excalibur. It is truly beautiful. I love what Lindsey has done with it. (Thanks, Lindsey.) But, that prop violin is going to take some getting used to. Oh, and I'd also be interested in knowing who the pianist is.

OK, I'm guessing I was wrong above about the pianist, and that it is Debi Johanson on the harp playing the accompaniment, right?

Well, the background music was produced by the same guy that does the music for Devin's videos: Stephen Anderson. That doesn't mean he necessarily played the piano. And yes, that instrument is most definitely a piano, not a harp. And I did notice the violin, too. Ingrid is much more battered. But she probably has a bunch of violins she hasn't mentioned to us. I also noticed that the curve of the bridge looks symmetrical, and most good violins have an asymmetrical curve. I'm thinking it would have been really hard to play that violin. She would be doing bad string crossings each time. But it is just for the video.

this isn't a Violin of Lindsey in this Video.

The Violin Lindsey used for the Video is the Violin of Kat Wolf.

OMG. Well, Kat, adjust that bridge, or have Lindsey do it for you. (How can anyone play it like that?)

As far as bridge symmetry, well, OK, I'll agree with you, but that's not something I would have picked up myself from watching the video.

I mentioned Debi Johanson and the harp because she was given a credit for (along with Lindsey) arranging the music.
